The first thing that popped in my head is Sturgill Simpson's Metamodern Sounds In Country Music album. The first song is Turtles All The Way Down. Beautiful track, great album.

Secondly, I had the voice of the nihilists: 'We believe in nothing, Lebowski.' The Big Lebowski, as a film, seems to fit into this metamodern framing.

Also, born in 1982, and really connect to the notion of Xillenial. Not X, not Millenial. Thank you for putting that idea in my head.

I suppose my modernism shows up in sincerity. I worked in education adjacent work most of my life and sincerely wish everyone to become their best self. I also find rules necessary and malleable. 🀣

I will be thinking on this for awhile.
